This contemporary exhibition showcases new work from emerging and established Manchester jewellers & textile artists, work was specifically designed for this exhibition and directly targets the niche wedding market.

Inspired by the historical collection at Platt Hall Gallery of Costume in Manchester, TELA, have created contemporary textile pieces that celebrate the range of matrimonial ceremonies experienced in our society today.

The jewellery, by members of MJN, incorporates themes and aesthetics taken directly from various cultural matrimonial ceremonies such as church weddings, Muslim weddings and same sex ceremonies, with an aim of influencing new concepts in wedding adornment.
